REWARDS AND BENEFITS
Earn 3% Reward Dollars at U.S. supermarkets, U.S. gas stations, and on U.S. online retail purchases, up to $6,000 in each category per calendar year (then 1%); other eligible purchases earn 1%. An enrolled card may provide up to $7 monthly ($84 annually) in Disney streaming statement credits on qualifying subscriptions, subject to terms. Additional benefits include cash-back redemption at Amazon checkout and purchase protection subject to terms. Reward Dollars are cash back, not transferable travel points.
WHO IT MAY SUIT
Consider it if you want a no-annual-fee card and spend in the eligible U.S. categories. It may suit someone who prefers easy-to-track cash back and does not want to calculate whether a recurring fee is worthwhile.
TRADEOFFS
Each 3% category has a $6,000 annual cap, after which purchases earn 1%. Merchant coding matters: superstores, warehouse clubs, and some mixed retailers may not qualify; online purchases must meet the issuer’s definition of eligible U.S. online retail. The monthly streaming credit requires enrollment and eligible subscription charges. Amex currently lists a foreign transaction fee, so consider another payment method for purchases abroad. Compare these limits with your actual spending.
