These are some of the Best and my favorite rides, in and around Orange County We Recommend avoiding Pacific Coast Hwy between Newport Beach and Dana Point. The roads are always busy regardless of the time of day. There is no bike lane and drivers trend to be less than friendly about sharing the road. The portion between the Santa Ana River Trail and Bayside Dr to get to the San Diego Creek Trail is safe to ride. The road is much wider and less busy at this point. If you want to got through Newport Beach we recommend turning right onto Bayside Dr, right on Fernleaf Ave, Left on Ocean Blvd, Left on Poppy Ave, and then right back onto PCH. This avoids the busiest and most dangerous part of PCH through Newport Beach. Carbon Canyon loop from Brea! This is a group ride which leaves from the Brea sport park (3333 East
Birch Street) on Mondays at 7:30 am. The pace is moderate, no hammering here. We ride up Brea Canyon road into Diamond Bar, loop through the City of Industry, and out to Chino Hills and back through Carbon Canyon Road. About 32 miles. Tell Us you plan to come.
